2023 Sale Bulls
These boys are fed to work, not walk the show ring. Dark red, performance, calving ease; we have bulls that will work on a variety of cows.The dams are selected for good feet, legs, udders, and a quiet disposition. The purebred cowherd is wintered, pastured, and fed with the commercial herd. All cows have to walk the 1 mile round trip to water in the winter. The TMR ration for all animals is developed in consultation with a nutritionist with longevity in mind. You don't like to spend more than you have to on feed bills and neither do we.
Pen average weights as of December 30, 2022 was ~1100lbs. All bulls will sell guaranteed once they pass the semen test. Delivery is available.

Fleckvieh Yearling Bulls
9 yearling polled and
horned Fleckvieh bulls for sale on the farm. The herd is built on time tested genetics that span over 50 years of Fleckvieh breeding. These bulls are fed to work, not walk the show ring. Dark red, performance, calving ease; we have bulls that will work on a variety of cows.

Black Purebred/Percentage Yearling/2 Year Old Bulls
2 black, polled, yearling and 2 black, polled long yearling Simmental bulls for sale on the farm. The Black Simmental division is newer. All bulls are hetero black and being tested for homo polled where applicable.

The two yearling bulls are half brothers out of the time tested Sunny Valley Captain Morgan 11Z owned by Double Bar D Farms in Saskatchewan. The two brothers are stout and will sire steers that will push down the scales and carry the trademarked Simmental money stripe.

The 2 long yearlings are F1's. They were born April/May of 2021 and are sired by a Fleckvieh herd sire and out of Black Angus cows. These two bulls are half brothers. Both are polled, solid black, thick and will cover more cows in the spring.
Red Purebred Yearling Bulls
6 red, polled, yearling Simmental bulls for sale on the farm. The Red Simmental division is newer. Most of the bulls are out of home-raised Fullblood dams. Same maternal time-tested genetics spanning 50 years of breeding Fleckvieh just red instead of white and red. Sires are either leading AI sires or purchased herd sires that have been used on the commercial herd with great success.
